When Rita Seagrave arrived on set last week to shoot her very first Hogtied.com scene, it was immediately clear that there was something unique about her. But her curly red hair and beautiful smile weren't the only attributes that made her so fascinating. Having been born with a hearing impairment, Rita, a self-proclaimed 'deaf dominatrix,' has not only found a way to safely enjoy BDSM play in spite of her circumstances, but has also chosen to share her knowledge with others through a series of classes she teaches on playing with people who are d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In a community where safety and happiness is contingent on the ability to communicate clearly with others, Rita shows us that we can speak without words and listen without hearing.
