On January 29, 2007, the San Francisco Mayors office issued a press release calling for public discourse regarding Kink.com's purchase of the historic SF Armory and the future use of the building. With City Hall backing the need for public discussion, Kink.com News went into the Mission District to find out how the community really felt.

Under the guidance of Reena Patel, VP of Marketing, Kink.com blew the competition out of the water. First shoot takes place at Armory

The first shoot at the Armory took place today "Guerilla Style". Princess Donna was expertly suspended above the drill court. For most of the last century, this is the exact spot where the General would have stood, surveying his troops and cavalry, now the space is officially devoted to love not war! “It was an honor to be the first model shot in this facility!” stated Donna. “Of course, it was obvious that no neighbor would notice this shoot taking place”, said kink.com founder Peter Acworth, “and I feel like I am stating the obvious by making it very clear that there were no complaints from anyone".

Peter seeks Mission community support

Kink.com founder, Peter Acworth, and Executive Producer, Lisset Barcellos, met with the Mission Merchants Association on the 16th of January to discuss the controversial purchase of San Francisco's historic Armory building. Nestled in a residential working-class neighborhood rich with cultural heritage, Acworth was met with both criticism and support regarding the impact Kink.com could have on the surrounding community.
