While our downloadable movie clips have always been encoded at a high resolution and bit rate, as of last week, they are now being offered even bigger, faster and better defined. But we realized that all these new formats might seem a little unfamiliar and even intimidating, so we asked Nicole to help explain what they are and all the different ways to play them. And even if you don't understand or care much about codecs or bitrates, you can rest assured that the porn you know and love just got a whole lot better.

Being as industrious a company as it is, it's hard to believe that Kink.com's offices and sets were abandoned last Wednesday afternoon by 4:30pm. But it wasn't sickness or laziness that brought Kink's production to a halt—it was an unexpected power outage that made the already dimly lit Armory building even darker. While the outage affected everyone in a 2-block radius, it probably wreaked the most havoc on Kink.com's sets. Luckily, the production crews responded quickly to the setback and were able to keep things running safely and smoothly despite the lack of power. Working in a 94-year-old building, Kink.com's employees have grown accustomed to dealing with any obstacle that comes their way.

One of the resolutions of last month's executive retreat was to organize a quarterly company-wide meeting in which Peter Acworth and all of Kink.com's department heads could present their recent accomplishments and goals for the future. So last Friday, all 92 employees gathered together in the employee lounge for the first official executive address. Some of the most important developments that Peter wanted to present to the company were Kink.com's newly refined mission, vision and values statements because Peter has realized Kink.com's growth will be meaningless unless each employee grows alongside with it. After the speeches, everyone was in the mood to celebrate. And while it might not be written, it's commonly understood that another one of Kink.com's values is being dedicated to and skilled at having a good time.

In addition to editing our full-length updates, Kink.com's editors also edit a 35 second trailer for every movie we shoot, so that our members can preview our content before they download it. Since it can be pretty challenging to sum up an hour-long shoot in mere seconds, Kink.com decided to hold a competition last week so that the employees could vote on which site's trailer they liked the most. And while we already know which trailer technically won, we thought it would be interesting to have a little contest of our own on Behind Kink.
