It wasn't long after starting her career in the adult industry that super-starlet Sasha Grey was able to parlay her massive popularity as a porn star into the realm of mainstream celebrity status. Just one year after her adult debut, Sasha landed the starring role in respected mainstream director Steven Soderbergh's feature film "The Girlfriend Experience." In honor of the movie, which opens today in theaters all over America, we decided to show off the brains behind this irresistible beauty and celebrate the ambition that's led to her unprecedented success.

Brave girl ! Bright and beautiful too!! She's too right when she says today's society is still "retarded" so far as openess goes about sex. We still have a long way to go with regard to hypocricy !!

This isn't showing in my area!!! What kind of buffoonery is this?

Sasha is lovely and confident! Tara Banks is an idiot!

Yes Sasha is a beautiful girl, but one one of the most intelligent in the biz with a great personality and colture. God bless the guy who lives with her

nicely done, BK! Sasha is a pleasure to work with and to listen to how she feels about the industry, women and her own ambitions. I love the Tyra Banks camera angle of her reading - it's a total FOOT FETISH shot. hahaa.

Respectable disagreement is completely fine, bwhorn (emphasis on respectable).

Yes, I meant respectful (unfortunately no edit here). I assumed you must have had some comments removed but I did not look in to them. I was just saying that in general our rule of thumb is disagreement is fine (and a good thing really!) as long as its done in a respectful manner. I would just ask yourself what could have been construed as disrespectful.

What an intelligent young woman. It is truly inspiring that she has great goals and plans to achieve them. I wish her the best of luck.

There are so many strong willed and smart young women out there who hid it to be popular or not appear to be "too smart." She a great example and a beautiful young woman.

Kudos BK!

Her acting was not very good, which is surprising because she is essentially playing herself.

Actually, Sasha has never been an escort, and she's playing the role as it was imagined by a screenwriter - one who, apparently, has never been an escort or has no real knowledge about them. The way her part's written is almost stereotypically constructed as to how most non-escorts understand us. Anyone who's watched Sasha knows that's not "her" she's playing.

I think Soderbergh should've used a "technical advisor" on the film - one who'd actually *been* an escort before.

I find it very hypocritical that tyra banks would do a show trying to make Sasha Grey and others in the industry look bad.

Especially because tyra is in the modeling industry, which is all about looks and sex appeal.

06/03/2009 3:28 PM Raveen Moenesar says:

I don't understand the whole taboo thing when it comes to adult entertainment. It's just sex on a camera! Basically there's no need to watch it if you get to have sex regulary...

I think it was strange that tyra assumes most people in the adult industry have been raped in their past. Nothing bad happend to me and I'm 25 now and I work as an accountant but i would love to be a pornstar!

06/15/2009 5:50 PM Clayton says:

Stay the course Sasha. You are one very beautiful mature woman!!

06/23/2009 6:34 AM reversed gaze says:

I found the film to be crap. But not on Ms. Grey's account... she was stunning, and I found her portrayal of the role, believable. The film was crap because it was edited with a "filmmaking 101" sensibility and the plot lacked a lot of the depth they seemed to seek. May her next film be better written.
