Even before Kink.com moved into the massive brick fortress known as the Armory, it was the object of endless intrigue and fantasy. Having lain vacant for over 30 years, the people of San Francisco were anxious to see whether the new owners would ever open the historic building up to the community. So when Kink.com announced they were hosting the inaugural Mission Bazaar, an arts and crafts expo and performance event, everyone knew the chance to satisfy their curiosities had finally come. "I am very glad that the Armory is able to contribute to the cultural vibrance of the Mission community. The Armory is a building that deserves to be opened to the public and I am delighted that the local community is getting involved," reflected Kink.com Founder and CEO Peter Acworth. The success of the Mission Bazaar will hopefully lead to future events within the walls of the Armory, creating further chances for locals to get a peek inside of a true San Francisco treasure.

Brad Nye is an exceptional loser. His Mission Bazaar was a flop. Maybe 100 people came.

i think the event was a great first effort.
i want to thank kink.com for opening their doors for us.
as a vender i think it all went very smooth.

the biggest change i would like to see happen
is to have the fair friday afternoon and evening
say from 4-10...art opening hours,
have saturday be as it was from 10-8,
dropping sunday entirely.
sunday isn't a great retail day,
venders tend to get discouraged and leave early...
friday keeps it in a party mode and lets people wear what they bought
that weekend.....coffee and organic food booths(maybe from neighborhood eateries) would also be great.
