Rounding out the growing list of 2008 firsts is last weekend's inaugural Live Show at the SF Armory. But before Device Bondage could be the first site to stream live from the 93-year old building, Kink.com's resident Live Show guru, Nicole, had a lot to figure out. After spending the last few months upgrading the various technologies that allow Kink.com to be one of the only companies in the world that is currently streaming live in HD, Nicole made sure that the first Live Show at the Armory was a huge success. With 23 Live Shows already in the bag, and many more to come in 2008, Kink.com is quickly establishing their reputation not only as a benchmark of quality adult entertainment but also as a pioneer of HD live streaming technology.

With the big move out of the way, and the transition to the Armory going smoothly, there is finally some time to think about Kink.com's future. So Peter recently gathered his executive team for a 3-day retreat so they could focus their attention on discussing the company's goals for the coming years. While it might not seem very sexy or glamorous, what was accomplished over the course of this executive retreat has just as much to do with the porn you enjoy as the models themselves. And with a follow-up meeting right around the corner in which Directors will have the opportunity to pitch new website ideas, it's clear that Kink.com is laying a strong foundation for the road ahead.

The latest addition to the Armory's growing list of custom-built sets is the new and improved wrestling arena made especially for Ultimate Surrender. Designed to look and function like a traditional 'mat room', the new Ultimate Surrender set has plenty of room to rumble. For the last 3 months, we followed Art Department Director Xgaw and his team as they helped make Director Matt Williams' vision a reality. Just about complete, everyone involved is thrilled to see their hard work finally pay off. But the true test will be next week, when Annie Cruz and Samantha Sin square off in the brand new set's inaugural match.

Every January, the adult entertainment industry comes together in Las Vegas for a week of flesh, fun and franchise at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo. The enormous conference draws thousands of adult companies, models, and fans to network, check out new products, participate in discussion panels and even attend an industry-wide awards show. The last 2 years, Kink.com has blown everyone away with their booth and demonstrations, solidifying their reputation as the world's leading producer of BDSM and Fetish content. But this year, Kink.com chose to attend AVN not as prominent exhibitor, but as a quiet observer. So Founder and CEO, Peter Acworth, told his Directors to stay home for a change, and instead gathered his team of executives and headed to Las Vegas to check out the conference from an entirely different point of view.

With sets as beautiful and professionally made as those at Kink.com's old building, the 'Porn Palace', how could Peter resist sharing them with the local art scene? He couldn't. He recently volunteered the cinematic building to local musician Joe Rosato Jr. and his crew (among them Kink.com's lead stylist, Bree) to use as a set for his music video. Kink.com's dungeon and jail sets fit the dark mood of the video perfectly and the group was extremely thankful for the donated space. There is a rather disturbing video clip that has been floating around the Internet lately called 'Two Girls, One Cup'. Almost more fascinating to watch than the video itself, some would say, are the recorded reactions of people seeing the clip for the first time. Kink.com's IT department didn't want Founder and CEO, Peter Acworth to be left out of the growing phenomenon, so they set up the infamous video for him to watch. Now that Kink.com has officially settled into their new home at the SF Armory and the whirlwind of activity surrounding the big move is winding down, there is finally some time to focus on other major issues in need of an overhaul. With the help of Kink.com's new full-time attorney, Chad, the first matter of business is reevaluating and revising the company's shooting rules. The two rules up for debate are pissing and fisting. While quite popular within the adult industry, the activities have never before been permitted at Kink.com because the credit card processors that process Kink's payments have refused to endorse that kind of content for fear of an obscenity violation. But based on Kink.com's great reputation, the credit card processors might be changing their minds. Anticipating good news, Princess Donna wastes no time planning a fisting tutorial, and a few of the models indulge in some off-set golden showers. If all goes according to plan, it won't be long before pissing and fisting become welcomed activities on Kink.com's sets.

As 2007 came to an end, there were many things to say goodbye to at Kink.com. From old sets to outdated technology to the building itself, nothing was quite as sad as having to say goodbye to one of Kink.com's favorite models, Sandra Romain. Ever since Kink.com moved its offices to the spacious San Francisco Armory just little over 2 weeks ago, a new craze seems to be developing amongst the company's employees. Transitioning from 20,000 square feet to 200,000 square feet, Kink.com's resourceful workforce didn't take long to find some creative ways to prevent the Armory's vastness from slowing them down. From bikes, to skateboards, to wheeled-shoes to roller-skates, it's clear that no matter what the obstacle, Kink.com employees will always come up with a solution that is fast, efficient and most importantly, fun.
