New Device Bondage Set, Among Others, Gets Underway

Kink.com's new production studio, the San Francisco Armory, has 5 massive floors of possibility. With over 100 rooms to choose from, each Webmaster has been busy proposing their set ideas to the Art Department. Cyd Black, Webmaster of DeviceBondage.com, was one of the first to claim his corner of the castle and design it to fit his specific taste and needs. Because Device Bondage requires so many heavy and cumbersome devices, Cyd had the idea to create a workshop set that would serve as the home base for all of Device Bondage's shoots. The Device Bondage set is only one of many set ideas that the art and facilities departments are already hard at work planning or building. With so many rooms to work with, and the endless imagination of the production team, the Armory will likely soon be able to satisfy every fantasy imaginable.

Without taking anything away from the news piece, I have a comment on the appearance of the set as it looks in the video. That being with the exception of one shot of the dry brick wall, I think the video was not able to be completely representative of what the set will look like color wise. Two factors contribute to this - first that the back wall is still shiny and wet, causing it too look brighter and more muddied than the final version will look.

The second factor is that the room was specifically designed for high end video lights that produce light with a color temperature replicating daylight - when viewed under this light, the amazing greens, blacks, browns and rust colors really shine through. Under the yellow of the work lights, the back wall looks more like a mottled dull brown/red color instead.

Of course, I'm just obsessing over the details as a result of my excitement. I cant wait to get in there and do the first shoot and then the first live show once the Armory is wired and ready to go.

However, it \does seem to me that you guys are really investing alot while at the same time increasing fixed costs. Will be be seing price increases?
