Every June, 500 rainbow flags are raised along the length of Market Street and San Francisco explodes with queerness. For a city known as the "Gay Mecca" for the other eleven months of the year, June could be called nothing less than Queer Heaven. This June marks San Francisco's 37th annual Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Pride celebration which culminates with one of the most treasured traditions of the weekend: a parade down Market Street. This year, Kink.com Founder and CEO, Peter Acworth decided that he wanted to participate as much as possible in the celebration and decided to enter Kink.com into the parade. The float was a big hit. Kink.com staff handed out bandanas, hats, buttons and flyers to an enthusiastic crowd. Peter and the gang couldn't help themselves and offered several flogging demonstrations as well. For 9 fun-filled blocks, the kinky crew played, danced, and celebrated the freedom to be who you are, no matter what people think.

You might think that fucking for a living is simple and stress-free work, but not even porn stars have it that easy. Like any other job, if you're not careful, you can get hurt. Having worked in the sex industry for nearly 25 years, elite porn star Mark Davis has had a lot of experience with both pleasure and pain. On a recent Sex and Submission shoot with Luscious Lopez, Mark's years of experience finally caught up with him. While attempting a classic "up and over" position, something snapped, and Mark was unable to finish the shoot, let alone walk unassisted. Luckily, with Kink.com's help, Mark was able to get the treatment he needed to get healthy. He returned 6 weeks later, ready to complete the shoot he had left unfinished. Thanks to Mark's sense of humor, humility, and devotion to his craft he is able to keep his spirits healthy, even when his body is not.

Every June, people from all over the world gather in San Francisco to celebrate Gay Pride. Kink.com founder and CEO, Peter Acworth, decided that he wanted to participate as much as possible in this year's pride events to show the company's support and involvement with the gay community. His first matter of business was raising 2 enormous Gay Pride flags from the Armory's newly functional flagpoles. Two of Kink.com's favorite Webmasters, Tomcat of Fuckingmachines.com and Princess Donna of Wiredpussy.com, jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the historic act of raising a Gay Pride flag over a building formerly used for military training. Kink.com also plans to participate in Sunday's parade by driving their western saloon float down Market Street. Peter has even offered the Armory's Drill Court to other parade participants to use to store their floats the night before the parade. Everyone at Kink.com is looking forward to this weekend to celebrate San Francisco's legendary diversity and its tolerance of all types of lifestyles.

Kink.com Raises 2nd Flag Atop Armory Roof

Peter Acworth's recent triumph of climbing the Armory's rickety flagpole to hang the San Francisco City flag was only bittersweet, as one more bare flagpole lay nearby, begging to be adorned. But Peter retired early from his career as a death-defying stuntman and sought out a brave employee to raise the second flag in his stead. While more safety precautions, manpower, and time were dedicated to the task, the fears and risks are still the same the second time around. Despite some hurdles, Kink.com's fearless Prop Master, the Korean Owl, managed to install and raise the California State flag on the Armory's second flagpole. Seeing both city and state flags flying high above the Mission neighborhood make Peter want to erect 2 additional flagpoles so that a variety of flags may be flown. He hopes to use the Armory's flagpoles to show the neighborhood that Kink.com celebrates the many different communities and lifestyles that make San Francisco such a wonderfully diverse place to live.

In addition to plans to fix the Armory's windows, light it up, and landscape the surrounding areas, Peter Acworth, founder and CEO of Kink.com and Armory Studios, decided that he wanted to let the neighborhood know that the Armory is no longer vacant by raising the city flag. Having a reputation as a do-it-yourself kind of CEO, Peter was not about to sit back and hire someone to rethread a 93 year-old flagpole; he insisted on climbing up the ladder himself. Despite Peter's executive team pleading with him not to risk his life hanging a flag, nothing would stop him from attempting the perilous journey up the ladder over 100 feet above rush-hour traffic.

Kink Appeals USPTO's Refusal to Register its Trademarks

View: News Article

Orlando Weekly published an article today chronicling Kink.com's attempts to secure registration of several of its trademarks, such as fuckingmachines and whippedass. Trademark registration is a standard practice for any business that wants to protect its interests. However, Kink.com and others who have attempted to register trademarks that contain a "dirty word" have been told by the United States Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO") that "Registration is refused because the proposed mark consists of or comprises immoral or scandalous matter." Kink.com is appealing the board's rejections, claiming that they are unconstitutional and unsupported by the evidence provided by the government. Kink is determined to prove to the Courts and Trademark Office that while "fuck" might raise an eyebrow in polite conversation, in modern times, "fuck" does not rise to the level of "scandalousness" claimed by the USPTO.

Additionally, Kink has argued through its attorney, Marc J. Randazza, that trademarks are commercial speech - and commercial speech is subject to First Amendment protection. Under the First Amendment, the USPTO should not be able to deny a benefit that is available to other businesses, solely based upon one person's determination that it is "immoral." If the First Amendment means anything, it means that the government should remain neutral in matters of free expression and morality. This is as much a case about the First Amendment rights of adult businesses as it is about a mere commercial benefit like a trademark.

Kink.com's appeal of the USPTO's rejection of the mark for fuckingmachines is available here.

Ultimate Surrender, Kink.com's Ultimate Female Competitive Wrestling Site, has been going strong ever since it launched 2 and a half years ago. Since then, they have reworked some rules, revised the uniform, and designed and built a brand new wresting set. But starting today, Webmaster Matt Williams introduces Ultimate Surrender 2.0, a whole new way to enjoy the site. The biggest change is the addition of a 5th bonus update each month, a Tag Team match, where 2 teams of 2 girls each wrestle each other in a way you've never seen before. The Tag Team match culminates in Round 4 with an all-girl gangbang that is so hot it will make your jaw drop.
