Joel Tucker, Stockroom's Founder and CEO, was excited to finally have a retail store in San Francisco and decided to give the store a facelift and update its inventory to get ready for the reopening gala. For months, Peter Acworth and his Production and Marketing Teams have been trying to figure out the best way to break into the Gay Market. They want to create a gay website that incorporates BDSM and fetish in a way that only Kink.com can. James Mogul, the Webmaster of Men in Pain and Kink's next upcoming site, The Training of O, has an idea that everybody can get behind. He wants to create a site based on Leather Daddies and their boys, and he wants to call the site Leatherdaddy.com. Only one thing stands in his way: the domain name 'leatherdaddy.com' already exists. Kink.com offers to buy the domain from its owner, and luckily, he agrees. There is still a lot to be done, however, before James can direct the first official Leather Daddy Test Shoot. The San Francisco Landmark Preservation Advisory Board met this afternoon to discuss Kink.com's request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the rehabilitation, restoration, and replacement of the historic wood windows of the San Francisco Amory. This request marks the first step in renovating the SF Armory to its original splendor and readying the building for large-scale productions. Peter Acworth was delighted when the Certificate of Appropriateness was granted unanimously. "I think that it's going to be quite a moving experience when we let light into the rooms that have been dark for 30 years, not to mention the positive effect it will have on our relationship with the neighborhood," said Acworth to his employees after the meeting. As soon as a building permit is obtained, Kink.com's Facilities and Art Departments are ready and waiting to restore all 371 of the Armory's windows.

After a long week of deliberation, James Mogul finally announced the winner of The Training of O Music Contest: Drew aka Devastator. Drew was the composer of both submission #6 and #9, favorites amongst staff and members alike. Along with his cash prize Drew was lucky enough to win a brief photo shoot with Kink.com model Harmony Rose. And he thought all he was getting was fame and fortune! Congratulations Drew.

The San Francisco International Film Festival celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. To celebrate this achievement, in addition to screening 120 unique programs, SF360.org, an organization that celebrates and promotes Bay Area film culture, is holding several panels to create dialog about the San Francisco film community. One of these panels, the Film Culture Confidential panel, organized by Susan Gerhard of SF360, and moderated by Eve Batey of the SF Chronicle, decided to seek out the perspective of Kink.com and reached out to executive producer, Lisset Barcellos, to represent an alternative but crucial voice in this important discussion.

After almost a full year in the works, Kink.com's IT department finally rolled out its first active website on their brand new technology platform today. Having written the original code over 10 years ago, Kink.com founder and CEO, Peter Acworth, realized that it was well overdue for an upgrade. Jeff, Kink.com's fearless CTO, took on the responsibility of heading up the massive undertaking of rewriting everything from the ground up.

The new technology offers countless new advantages and features from increased security to the ability to receive email notifications when your favorite model or prop is featured in a shoot. Behind Kink was chosen to be the first site to make the switch since it was recently decided that the Behind Kink Documentaries would be made entirely free to access. Without billing complications to consider, there was nothing stopping the IT department from making Behind Kink the first official Kink.com website to roll out on the long-awaited technology.
